The Registration Page That Gets Signups

Most course creators treat their webinar registration page like a basic squeeze page — some text, a headline, a form field. That misses the real opportunity.

Your registration page needs to feel like an event. Not a lead magnet download. Not a newsletter signup. An actual event people mark on their calendar.

Essential Elements

1. A Compelling Title

Promise a specific outcome and imply depth. “Email Marketing Webinar” is weak. “The Email System That Generated $2.3M in Course Sales: A Step-by-Step Breakdown” is compelling. Numbers, timeframes, and concrete results increase perceived value.

2. Benefit Bullets

Not features. Benefits. Not “You’ll learn about funnels” but “You’ll walk away with a complete funnel blueprint you can implement this weekend.” Aim for 4-6 bullets that paint a picture of the transformation.

3. Countdown Timer

Creates urgency — whether counting down to the live event or to when registration closes. Only use real countdowns to actual deadlines.

4. Social Proof

Testimonials from past attendees. If this is your first webinar, use relevant credentials, results from your course, or attendee counts.

5. Clear Call-to-Action

Say something specific. “Save My Spot Now” or “Reserve Your Free Seat” — not just “Submit.”

Two Models

Simple landing page (Leadpages, GoHighLevel, ClickFunnels): Quick to build, full design control, fast loading. Works well for ad or email traffic.

Full webinar platform (EverWebinar, Demio): Registration, reminders, live room, and replays all in one system. Less design flexibility but more integrated.

For most course creators starting out, the simple landing page gives you more control and faster iteration.

The 5 Laws of Maximum Registrations

Research across high-converting registration pages reveals consistent patterns:

  1. Compelling title — it’s 80% of your page’s effectiveness
  2. Clear value proposition — within 3 seconds, visitors should understand what they’ll get
  3. Social proof — testimonials, attendee counts, credentials
  4. Urgency — why register NOW instead of next week?
  5. Frictionless signup — name and email only. Every additional field costs registrations.

Facebook Live for Organic Signups

Go live 3-5 times in the week before your webinar. Each session covers a small piece of what you’ll teach, then directs viewers to register for the full training.

One course creator filled 400+ seats this way without spending a dime on ads. The key was showing up consistently and making each live session valuable while creating curiosity for the deeper training.

What to Avoid

  • Long paragraphs of text
  • Multiple competing calls-to-action
  • Generic stock photos
  • Hype that overpromises
  • Requiring a phone number
  • Hidden costs or surprise upsells

Your registration page sets expectations for everything that follows. Make it feel professional, specific, and worth someone’s time.
