Certificates and Communities
Completion Certificates
Navigate to Memberships > Settings and find the Certificate section. Toggle it on. Upload your certificate background image — a landscape PDF or high-resolution image at 1680x1120 pixels works best.
Student name and completion date auto-populate from the contact record. Set the completion threshold — require 100% lesson completion, or allow certificates at a lower percentage. Students receive a downloadable PDF, and you can enable automatic email delivery with the certificate attached.
Creating a Community
Go to Sites > Communities and click Add Community. Name it, add a description, and choose visibility: public, private (invite or approval), or paid (connected to a product). Set up a custom domain to keep the URL aligned with your brand.
Channels
Create channels to organize conversations. Standard setup:
- Announcements — admin-only posts
- Q&A — students help each other
- Wins — celebrations build momentum
- Resources — supplementary materials
Click Add Channel, name it, set posting permissions, and choose whether it appears in the main feed or sidebar.
Events
Schedule events through the Events tab. Create a live Q&A, set the date and time, attach a Zoom link, and configure reminder emails. Students see events in the community calendar and receive notifications.
Gamification
Enable the points system in Community Settings. Assign values: 5 points for a post, 2 for a comment, 1 for a like received. Create tiers — Bronze at 50 points, Silver at 200, Gold at 500. Define rewards: Bronze gets a badge, Silver unlocks a bonus module, Gold gets a discount on your next course. The leaderboard displays in the community sidebar and creates healthy engagement.
Adding Courses Inside Communities
Through the Learning tab in your community, click Add Course. Select from your existing courses and set visibility rules: available to all members, restricted to specific tiers, require separate purchase, or time-unlock after a set number of days in the community.
