Before diving into VSLs, here are some resources that will set you up for success.
Recommended Courses
- Write Your Sales Page — You need to understand how text sales pages work before deciding if a VSL is the right approach for your course. The persuasion structure is the same; the delivery format is different.
- Copywriting for Course Creators — The writing skills you’ll learn there transfer directly to VSL scripts. Every word in your script needs to earn its place.
- Produce Your Course Videos — If you’re planning to record yourself on camera, these production fundamentals will make your VSL look and sound more professional.
What You Should Know
- A basic understanding of what a sales page is and what it’s supposed to accomplish
- Some familiarity with your target student — their struggles, goals, and the language they use
